    Yeah, to be ISO 2001 certified or whatever, our lab tech has to send them out once a year for calibration.

    I think I bought the harbor freight one on black friday for $2 just for the hell of it.     that is like saying "I just installed cylinder heads, it is very important that I tighten the bolts correctly but I don't have or want to buy a torque wrench because I'm only going to use it once" If you are willing to buy the components, you have to be willing to buy the tools
