Yeah those readings are at the end of the harness that goes into the deck. One things I couldn't make out was that the fuse on the deck unit was still OK? Hmmm.. Anyways thanks for all the help in here guys! Much appreciated. I really learnt a lot tryin to fit my first ever deck unit.

That was a mistake not to disconnect the neg, but , then isnt that what the fuses are for to protect the circuit against short? I just twisted the wires together and electrical tape it for now and will heat shrink after it confirmed working correctly. One of the wires touch another which was...
