Thank you for the replies, everyone! I'll be looking more into central Texas and Birmingham, Alabama.. I'd like to go south for 1. the weather and 2. window tint is probably very popular and that's easy money. Besides, when it's cold people don't spend money on their stereo, not here anyway.

Thinking about expanding somewhere south. I have heard San Antonio, Phoenix, Memphis and Austin among others. I'm just trying to figure out which city has the best economy for car audio?   Does anyone work in any major cities in the south where the car audio business is booming?

So if not a DD 2500, then what? I'd like to spend NO MORE than $300 on a 15" sub that's around 800-1000w I guess it doesn't have to be a 15" but I know that more cone = more air = more deebeez.

Thanks for the advice but the 12" version of the 2500 have an fs rating that's 10hz higher than the 15" version (34.99hz for the 15" 2500). I think that may make the deal happen for me. What do you think? I like the lows found in songs like Demons, Caribou Lou or Midwest Choppers by Tech N9ne...
