I found out what it was, when wiring up the harness, I swapped 2 wires, the Amplifier on wire (blue/white stripe) and the Power Antenna (blue). Tis why my amp would only come on while the radio was playing... Anyway I hope this helps someone else some day.

I have the Clarion 945 and am loving it, except that the Amp shuts off when a cd is put in. Is there a setting I can use to get my amp to come back on when the cd is used, or what do I need to do to get this to work? I have searched the entire manual to see if there is somthing that will help...

I just bought a Clarion APA 2160 amplifier for my new system including a Clarion DXZ955MC. Keep in mind this is going to be a SQ set up not a SPL setup. This amp is rated at 250 Watts RMS at 2 Ohms. I have been looking at a 12W3v2-D4 as I can wire up the speaker to be at 2 ohms in parallel. Yet...
