amp output cant be 110volt, if it was and you held the spkr wires, and got even close to 10 amps, you woud die of electrocution. higher current/amperage does need larger wire. I have 4 ga power wire and am going to double run 12 ga or find some 10 ga wire.

Also upgrade you ground wires, I added a 8ga to the bracket over the alternator, and a 1 gauge from the batt to the shock tower, and scraped off paint to get good connection. I put amp under pass seat, to shorten power wire length.

just because your lights dim, does not mean you have to have a new altenator. My lights dimmed with my PPI A600 (uses 1 40A fuse) when used it for bass. My lights dimmed more with lanzar vibe 1200. They dim even more with the M3000D 4x40A fuses. I still get by. I play loud for long time...

I went and (recommend you do the same) listened to everything I could at all local stores, I always made the salesmen make the eq flat. I found a good steep and low xover point made a big diff. I like no higher than 4.5k, prefer 3k. See which you like the best between metal and fabric tweets...
