Everyone raves about the JBL amps but when I checked the specs I became a little skeptical. Not only is their THD high but their Sensitivity(dB) is only 90dB which is really low.

How much power are you running to your Perfects? Also I think 1.3cf is too much for the Perfects maybe that's why you keep blowing them, maybe you should try a 0.85 - 1 cf box.

MB Quart or Infinity is the way to go, check out EBAY for great deals on brand new ones. I found a pair of BRAND NEW in BOX MB Quart QSD 216 components for $500 on EBAY, retail at the local shops is $1500.

Sony Mobile ES units are awesome, the C90 is still one of the best HU's you can get. Too bad they don't make that one anymore.

The Kenwood will give you much better sound quality than any pioneer. Go with the Kenwood.
