What's your reasoning for going with the spl cone on the zv4? Does it really have that much of a difference or are you just chasing tenths on the meter?

I currently have a SA-12 on 750 watts, which I just upgraded to an IA20.1. I can't decide on which sub(s) from Sundown to go with to pair with the new amp. I have space for a maximum of about 3 cubes after all displacements.

Running less rms to a sub will not causes any issues as long as your gain is set correctly. I would go with an sa10 and then upgrade to a 750-1200 rms amp (assuming you still have stock electrical and are not looking to upgrade).

I have limited room in my car so I have been designing a ported box for a single 12 before I buy to see if it could fit with sufficient space. I am looking at the Sundown SA-12 and this is what I have come up with so far.
