already checked that too and had one of my buddies hook them up in his trunk and they worked fine

already but the dmm on it and i was running fine volts cause thats what i thought the problem was i thought the volts were droping causing the subs to clip but voltage is fine

thats a good idea cause i swear when i was pulling the box towards me and away from the cab they would start to hit then distort again when i moved them back

no my gains set to about mid way the problem occurs when the gain is past mid way or when i turn the hu up even with all loud settings off .... when i re wired everything it the subs worked fine beating it down for about 5 minutes then started distoring again so i had to turn the gain back up

there facing toward the cab in a 1986 oldsmobile cutlass supreme same as caprice and i just hooked the sub wires to a differnt amp in a differnt car

ok so i have a 1200 mono hifonics amp 4gauge wire kicker rca cables pioneer hu and 4 kicker comp cvr 10's gain set to about a little past mid way and bass eq is set all the way down and my subs will hit but as soon as they hit a certian point the will start to distort just sound so ugly i tried...

all gains and levels are set i just think i worked the amp good thing it has a one year warrenty ;]

this isnt an install the system has been working fine for the past 6 months untill now and now the subs arent working and the amp when powed up just makes a horrible ticking noise loud and really fast but not comming threw the subs its comming stright from the amp but it never goes into protect...

havent you ever heard of hott boxing and why would i do it without some music hahaha but the amp will turn on with the headunit with the key slightly turned but the subs wont hit at all i have to put a dmm on it see how many volts im running

its a in 1986 cutlass supreme 4dr... yes i no what a dmm is im kinda thinking it might have something to do with my battery or possibly my alt because when the radio is on and the car isnt the subs wont hit

thats how there wired there all in one sealed box and the 2 subs are wired to one channel so i have 4 wires comming out of the box 2 negative and 2 positive and then i have them each going to there own channels its not bridged

i have 4 10inch kicker comp cvr and a hifonics 1200 2channel amp everythings wired correctly just re wired it and it still does it.... the subs will work when i crank the bass knob and everything but once i turn the volume up to around 30 they stop working and just start making a vibarating...

you have to ground the rca conectors on the headunit there is another thread that tells you how to do it i spliced some speaker wire n figure 8 around the rca connectors on the hu all pioneer hu's do this

nope you can get the 10 comps in 2ohm or 4 but can someone please tell me an amp that would be sufficent for these subs
