In all the years i had mine i flipped it to protect 2 times. Maybe their quality has changed. One time i fried something in it, enough to make it smoke A LOT and it still works to this day. Maybe i just got lucky.

what kind of box is your cm3 in? Tinsel leads **** i had a problem with my old IDQ's cause the wire harness was on a piece that swiveled a little.....right into the **** speaker. Im still waiting for someone to invent a WIRELESS subwoofer....lol

scratch that, you said one sub. If you are running one subwoofer into a single channel you would want the D2 so you could wire it in at 4 ohm mono......mono because your hooking up two voice coils to one channel. And also a single subwoofer with dual 2 ohm coils will run 1 ohm for a mono amp. So...

right, with 2 d4's bridged into 2 channels you will be running 4 ohm mono, pulling the full power from your amp most likely. if you have a single channel, mono amp you would want the d2's.
