Whew....glad it doesn't look too bad. Hopefully it should be okay for what I'm looking for. I don't want to blow my windows out, but just get some good clean accurate low end. I'm getting the last model (SWS) when it changed to look like the Type-R. I should be able to get both for $150 or less...

The port is 3.5"x4.5" and 13" long. Does that work for the Type S?

Well, I know custom would be ideal but it wouldn't sound bad would it? 1 cube a piece tuned to 36hz should be decent, I would think.

How would some Alpine Type S's sound in that QPower box I found? Looks like the specs match up pretty well.

I usually get custom boxes but I can’t find anyone to do one for less than $250 or so. That’s why my options for semi custom under seat boxes for my specific truck are limited. I don’t have the mounting depth for 12’s and most 10’s too which further limits my options.

Also just came across this https://www.ebay.com/itm/Qpower-QBFORD09210-Qbomb-Dual-10-Ported-Ford-F150-Super-Crew-2009-2018-F250-/391974870549

If I went with 2 8's I could probably port the box then. Would 2 8's ported outperform 4 8's sealed with the amount of available volume being equal?

I won't be able to go much bigger than their recommended space. I believe it was like .3 cubes per sub, and I'll be able to go .4 or slighty larger and stuff with polyfill.

One thing I just noticed from the manual for the NVX is that 250rms is recommended for ported and 400rms is recommended for sealed. If that's the case, I'm not going to be pushing enough power for 4 sealed. I will only have 600rms total on tap.

How many are you running? I love the low notes so I'd love to find something that has a little authority down low. That's why I was going with 4 of them even though they're going to be sealed.

Those are above the budget and I don’t think I’ll have enough mounting depth to let it vent properly.

Anything better than a Pioneer D9605 for the price?

I’m definitely staying with a single 5 channel setup. I was originally going with 2 but want to scale back a bit. I’m coming from a tc sounds lms-r on 1300rms and don’t need that much anymore.

Anything better than a Pioneer D9605 for the price?

I'm about to purchase a 5 channel and wonder if there is any better bang for my buck than the Pioneer 9605. I was looking at the PPI 900.5 and NVX 900.5 but the Pioneer has the edge in power on the sub channel. All can be easily had for $200 which is where I want to keep the budget.
