Ground is bad but thats not why your amp blew. Amp stable at 2ohm stereo you were running at 2 ohm bridged meaning each output section was receiving a 1ohm load. Doubt you have any fusing to the amp so you pulled to much current and poof magic smoke.

Set your gains by ear then turn them down a little for now, read all of the information in this thread, then read it all over again, then do some searching. You will deal with tons of crap on this site but eventually you'll get the information that you need.
