I know this is going to sound like a DUH!!! comment, but the 6900 also has a TRUE shuffle random play mode....it jumps all around the folder heirerchy to play random songs. Still havnt attempted the playlists however. BTW, Im over 30 gigs now, and the 20 sec initial seek time has not gone up

That Ipod might not last forever, and I currently have a 120gig maxtor HD hooked to my 6900ub...its worth hedging your bets...if your ipod is lost, stolen, or broken youd still have your ENTIRE music collection in the car

I am happy to report that it seems with the additional 500mA as mentioned above, the Pio 6900ub will ABSOLUTLY play my 120gig HD. Up to 20gig so far, and the 20 second initial seek time has not gotten any longer. Im VERY happy
