    91 Honda CRX. (2) Type-R 12s, 1 MB Quart DSC2000.1= Hair Trick Video:)

Thanks! I will use these Rs until I get all of the electrical finished, then I will replace them with something bigger, and get another 2000.1. I am very impressed with that amp so far. I have looked for a good CRX for a long long time now. Finally found this one in Memphis, TN a couple weeks...

What box for a single Type R 12"?

Rs do not do as well in a sealed enclosure. adio is just right, 2.5 cubes tuned low, ~32hz.

[video=youtube;3il-xOgMnXc] Just a little video for you guys. CRX still needs a lot of electrical and deadening.

    2 12"type r VS 1 sundown15" d2

    2 12"type r VS 1 sundown15" d2

Two Rs in a properly tuned enclosure will be very loud. I can tell you that moving from 2 stroker 15s (old school) on an Orion 2500D @ 1 ohm was only .5 dB up from 3 R 12s on the same amp @ same load. With more power, however, the strokers would have walked them.

Is this normal? breaking in a new sundown 18..

Sounds like a capacitor on the amp board is getting ready to die. Sometimes it is caused by a cap vibrating loose, sometimes it is just dying.

    TYpe R's still warm

Setting gains with DMM = waste of time. Set everything to level, and turn gain on amp all the way down. Cue up that 50 cycle tone, put volume knob on cd player to 95% of full volume, then slowly adjust amp gain up until you hear distortion = done.
