Sounds like a plan...I really like the diamonds...and I am planning on going with a diamond audio as a brand of choice for my sub also.

the 500/1 is rated at 500rms, but it puts out more. Mine was bench tested at right at 720wrms at 13v

Im also debating wether or not to get an SX,...I think of either the SX or SE, going to run in it on a jl 500/1, which is around 650-700watts rms, ported box of course.

Or, build a small ported box, and add pillow stuffing

has anyone tried a SX on around 650watts?....since the SX was backordered, i canceled and held my order....so now im rethinking if i want a SE or SX now...the price diff will get me some fatmat, yum....errrmmmmm tough choice.

500/1 is a nice choice, once my RE SX 12 arrives, it will be powering it, until i get around to another to push a second SX, enjoy.

I also have a 500/1, and that is a VERY underrated 500. I know for a fact that it will put out ATLEAST 650watts on 13.8 volts, however the amp cuts off at 8-9volts, but will never drop BELOW 500watts. I could have got a PG tantrum 1200.1 for cheaper than i got my 500/1, but i know, and love JLs...
