If I can route it through the firewall or under the car, which would be better?

How long should I run that 1/0 before splitting it? Also I fuse the 1/0 gauge cable and then split it at the distribution block right?

I have a 1000 watt alpine V-power amp for a 12 inch Type-X sub with 4 gauge cable and now Im adding a 300 watt alpine 4 channel V-power for speakers. I've had people tell me to split the 4 gauge cable and run those to both amps. Should I do this or should I have a larger gauge like 1/0 and...
