    97-03 grand prix owners

When I had a Grand Prix I had sub and port facing back. Pretty standard for a sedan. I experimented with other methods but generally speaking this alignment sounded the best. This may be a fairly obvious statement, but GP trunks rattle like mad. The spoiler and license plate especially. I...

Eclipse Ti damage to surround what to do

Yeah, I ordered one of those surrounds as well...now hopefully I have the skill to install it. I am curious how close a match this surround is to the one that came on the sub originally. It looks good, almost too good which makes me skeptical.

Eclipse Ti damage to surround what to do

If I wasn't at work right now I would take a picture of my Ti, which btw TC did a recone for about a year ago. It ripped again. It works, but only with several (a lot) layers of silicone holding it together. Peridically the silicone gives and it needs to be reglued but, if you dont want to be...

    1/2 mdf vs 3/4

Negatives to 1/2" would be that it is more likely to flex under pressure. However if you brace the box internally and don't plan on using a sub that is too heavy or powerful you could probably get away with using 1/2". You should probably double up on the front baffle if you do go with 1/2".

    Eclipse SW9122TI vs 88120Ti

Where else does one get a tc recone?

    Eclipse SW9122TI vs 88120Ti

Maybe I should have specified that loud was not my primary goal. I originally wanted a sub that would have authority and sq in a largish car without taking up all my trunk space. Unrealistic expectations? Probably, however I don't think a sub at this price point should have surround...

    Eclipse SW9122TI vs 88120Ti

I actually have an old (ugly) box for a different woofer that is 1.7 at 28...might try it tomorrow, although 1.6 at 35 is pretty close to that already. But even if it does sound better, the surround is still being held together by goop on one side and silicone glue on the other. It might sound...

    Eclipse SW9122TI vs 88120Ti

Ok, the sheet said 1 ft^3 sealed, I'm saying qtc of .707 was in a box of .7ft^3 The 15 had different requirements, I know because when I had TC send me a new top assembly I ordered a 15, but they sent me another 12. I had already built a box. Not the point. Point is recommended vented...

    Eclipse SW9122TI vs 88120Ti

I already sold you my last one a couple years ago remember? I washed the ash off first....I'll sell it to you for sure after I get a replacement sub, the glue is suprisingly holding up for the moment. New mag should be out soon though...

    Eclipse SW9122TI vs 88120Ti

I could show you the spec sheet that came with my sub (again if I had my camera with me right now) but its really a small box woofer. qtc of .707 in about .7 ft^3 if I remember right. 1.6 ported was not too small, and it sounded a lot better at 1.1 tuned to 30 or so. Doesn't matter I feel...

    subwoofer - no amp?

Fair enough, I mean I run my refrigerator off of two double A batteries so I guess it was a good question to ask.

    Eclipse SW9122TI vs 88120Ti

First box, (the first time it broke) 1 ft^3 sealed. Second box, 1.1 ft^3 tuned to 30. I've also tried it in 1.6 at 35, and .8 at 40 but those were just test boxes. Its been powered with an Infinity 1211a. Now I realize the sub could take more power than a claimed 1300 watts, but I always...

    subwoofer - no amp?

No seriously though did it really seem likely that the answer would be yes, go ahead? Did/does your high school have a science class?

    Tinsil lead broke.

If you can somehow solder it back together it should work, if not then recone.
