If you know so much, as you are trying to insinuate, then I'm sure you can decide on your own what amplifier to get for your setup. To us, the way you have been talking, you don't know anything about what you are trying to do.

Where in MS are you from? Down here in Biloxi it's pretty lenient. I've never been pulled over for DTP or any other sort of noise violation. That was with my 15" XXX and Cadence ZRS-8. I am currently working on getting my '06 XXX 12" and ZRS-10 bought up and shipped to me so I can set it all up.

I get adjusted to the sub pretty quickly and find myself nearly maxing out the volume most of the time, so yes, I can say that I do.

I did have a 1600w RMS sub with about 1800w on it. My new setup will be a 2000w RMS sub with around 2800-3000w on it.

No, L7's can take a beating. Aside from that, your LPF should not be set all the way down. If you turned it up to around 80hz or in that general area you'll find you can turn the gain down on the amp as you are opening up the range for the sub.

Mine told me 1600w and that the DVC is 800w per coil.

Are you positive you have it bridged properly? With the pos and neg wire on the outside pos and the outside neg on the amp?

"Breaking in" just gives a fuller sound, possibly a bit louder. You're using an xover on the sub? Why? Gain is up doesn't tell me much, don't use the punch bass if you don't have to. It is a bass boost and can only cause distortion and/or clipping. Um... what is the impedance of your sub (ohms)...

It's super humid here on the coast and my XXX 15" started rusting all over the nickel plate that was on the bottom of the sub below the magnet.
