Ok, one last thought for tonight. If the ground goes from the battery to block and block to body, my jumper from the battery to body should have resolved that reaistance change, right? I hate electricity.

Yes, sorry, battery negative. There are two big wires in that harness. Hard to tell where they go, but the smaller is about the same size as the one to the tower bolt. I'll check the wire to/from the alternator tomorrow. I've had it with this for today.

I have a nice bare metal body ground in trunk reading 0.2 Ohms compared to the battery terminal. When I turn on the ignition, the resistance in the trunk jumps to 40 Ohms when compared to the battery. I also checked from battery to the front seat bolt (not seat belt), and same thing. Key off...
