This... and d2 subs can not be wired to 2 ohms each....only 1 or 4 ohms.....

Having the SS ref amp for the front.....why not use the ref 500 for the sub? Much better amp vs the HFi 1500.... and x2 on ditching the rear speaker idea....just use the factory speakers and fade them down for "fill". Use the ref 4ch to run your front components active and you will have a...

The test I seen here says 725.4 watts bridged at 2 ohms...

CFA 1000d was rated @ 1k @ 1 ohm 12.5v..... Hit up the bay and grab you an older Fosgate 200x2/dsm....rated @ 100wpc/400 bridged 4 ohm... They will do over 800 watts rms @ 2 ohms bridged and they are a small-ish amp.

I had an issue with one of my old Crossfire amps that would make the sub sound like it had coil rub at times. It turned out to be the XO adjusting pot/switch was dirty. A shot of contact cleaner took care of that.... So check all the switches and knobs to see if that could be the issue...

I'm looking at buying a Crossfire lot from Dave(LA_CRX) here soon maybe. He had an eq/possessor, BNITB CFA142, a 302, 202, 602 and a used 142...all CFA amps.

Ah...yes.... I have a CFA 30hc that is rated for .5 stereo or 1 ohm bridged. Has the high power/high current fuse positions on the back. In most of my testing, she makes about the same power at 1and 2 ohms stereo and bridged. But yes, she can get warm. The others do not....at least not using...

Say what? These are not smoke stream amps... I have a lot of CFA amps and have had them a long time.....no fires here....lol

On a side note...the ZR600 makes 821 watts rms @ 4 ohms bridged..... and still has head room to boot! Not to mention the power supply coil is huge!
