Well the wire that the acc wire is tapped into also runs power for my gauges and tach all aftermarket so I dont know why its not working with the radio.

Yea I will its just so weird. It doesnt make any sense to me. But I guess since the rest of it is hard wired straight to the battery thats where my issue has to be.

Not if you hook it to the acc wire in the ignition.

Well its weird. I was able to get it to work leaving the red wire connected and just taking the yellow and ground to a separate battery, im contemplating wiring the red wire straight to the ignition since its right there.

Alright guys this has had me stumped. The vehicle is a 73 f100. It had a JVC head unit previously and the problem I was having was that the head unit would function but I wouldn't get any sound from the speakers. I wanted to replace the head unit so I ended up going with a newer alpine CDE 134...
