thanks but no thanks... i found how to remove the unit on my own... i removed the panel below the unit (where the cigarette lighter and ashtray are) and removed the screws from below the cage, then simply slid the thing out from below. removing the airconditioning controls would be troublesome...

im trying to install my new unit into a 94 honda civic ex, but i cant get the stock unit out. do i need to remove the panel around the receiver and air conditioning first? or can i slide the stock receiver out as is? if i need to remove the panel, how do i do it?
