Found out that unless you have the bose factory setup or onstar you don't need the part at all. The only thing that I will lose will be my door chime. You do however have to run the ignition swith lead from the cd player to the fuse box to power on the unit. You CAN NOT use the one comming...

At 2ohms it's 600 watts RMS which is not enough. I am currently running 2 HX2 4 ohm DVC's in parallel to get the 1100 watts. This is the wiring wizard I used to confirm the ohm load...

To get the 1100 watts it has to be 1Ohm which means I would have to run the 4ohm DVC's in parallel.

I had a local shop tell me there is a special part that I'm going to have to put in line with a aftermarket cd player to make it work properly. They said that I would have all kinds of stuff stop working, & start acting up due to the factory cd player having something to do with the vehicles...
