It still had the hiss out of the truck. I have moved it before with no change. I’m thinking this amp is bad aswell, but I want to know why they keep doing this before I buy a different one

I took the amp out of the truck and hooked it up to a spare battery to see if it’s a ground problem or if a computer in the truck was messing with it, and I literally hooked one of the mids up to a factory door speaker input and it didn’t hiss at all

Okay, what are the chances I’ve gotten three bad amps in a row? I want to make sure I’m not doing something wrong before I buy another one.

Yeah I did the big three and it’s a good ground. I’ve even taken the amp out of the truck and used a separate battery straight to it and it still happened, I just don’t want to keep buying amps if it’s something I’m doing wrong

Yeah it’s just a constant hiss, I also notice the tweeters make a popping sound when the amp is first powered on. Idk what that could mean

I would say that’s what it is but I’ve had a different, nicer amplifier that did the same thing

I’ve got 4 6.5in mids and a stinger amp and there is a hiss when the amp is powered on from the speakers. The gains are all the way down and nothing I do will change the volume of the hiss. I’ve already sent back the amp once and warranty it for a new one but it made no change. Could this be a...

Okay I appreciate the help

I shorted the RCAs and it made no difference just heard a faint click, messing with the gain makes no difference either. What would cause an amp to do this, I really don’t want to buy another one and have the same issue
