On the original thread question - Just from experience if you put 1000+ watts on that 18 she will sing. I have 2 DC 18" LVL4 w/5coils both sitting at 1150 watts per and they beat my *** up. I would go with the Sundown amp if I was looking to buy the only sub amp needed. Something to be said...
