hey, im pretty new to the whole car audio scene and i want to put a new HU in my tacoma 4dr. im lookin for help on what would fit and also look tight. i have an attatched pic of my dash attatched (i got this off a site so i cant explain why it looks like crap, but you can still see the HU part...

i think im gonna go with an 8" audiobahn high excursion (300w rms)

its a new doublecab, and trust me, the 8 barely fits where i want to downfire it

who do you guys think makes the best SQ 8" sub? cuz thats all i have room for where im gonna put it in my truck. it doesnt have to be all that loud but i still need to hear it.

anybody know where i can find pictures of the new panasonic HUs? i have a friend who saw them at an auto expo and he said they looked tight. i dont think they are in stores for another month or so though

ok this is probly gonna be the stupidest question asked on this board but i have a stock cd player that skips every now and then and i wanted to know if replacing the HU even if it doesnt have a "cd slot" on it will fix it. (thinkin of the alpine cda-7875) thx

i dont really trust the stuff on ebay- i have a friend who bought a 1600w amp and 2 10" perfects a while back and the amp is screwed up and he had to send the speakers back to get new ones. i figure its best to buy new instead of taking chances with refurbished on ebay.

i talked to a guy at my local dealership and he said he could put in a set of infinity references(since perfects supposedly are meant for higher volumes)components (6 1/2s), a jbl comp series amp, and an 8" subwoofer(forgot brand) in a custom box behind the center console for around my asking...
