Ok, well i think i figured out the problem. Turns out my RCA wire is broken. The connection on my headunit is loose. so it makes that scratchy noise. But i also noticed the amp makes a high pitched noise without the RCA's connected when it first starts up. what could that be?

Yes, i do indeed have a digital multimeter. My settings are: Gain -under 1/4 Frequency- 55 hz Crossover- Lowpass Infrasonic Filter- On Amp is seeing 2 ohms bridged.

Hello, I recently got a Rockford Fosgate T5002 as a gift from my parents. hooked it up and i noticed that the amp made my subs sound like there blown, switched back to my old amp, and it didnt make that scratchy sound. What could be the problem? Thanks
