Anyone here have any suggestions on where I can get cabling by the foot? I want to see if it is cheaper to put together my own amplifier wiring kit. If you can suggest a site where they also carry the accessories along side the cabling, that would be awesome!!

I haven't bought any yet. I want to be better informed before I make that purchase. I don't like returning items. But I'm looking at some JL's and RF's. Don't know yet.

One more thing. If I'm gonna do this below using the Dual-4 Ohm Subwoofer option. What should my amp's ohms be? Hope I worded that correctly lol Also, I'm assuming that this illustration is showing a monoblock amp. 2 DVC drivers with Voice Coils in Series / Parallel Connecting the two...

Ok, I think I get it. Is there a limit on how many subs can be connected this way?

The only problem I'm running into is this: the guide doesn't say if you can hook up 2 subs to 1 channel. I just shows 1-7 or so subs connecting to an amplifier. It doesn't mention how many channels the amp has. I want to connect 2 subs to one channel on a monoblock amp.

I was wondering if it was at all possible to connect two subs to one single-channel amp. I think I read somewhere that you could do this but I don't remember if it was expounded upon.

I trust you I'm just wondering why I'm told to use class D amps for subs.

I noticed that both of these are AB amps. Shouldn't they be D class amps?

I'm just looking to get good sound for everyday driving. I don't need to wake up the neighbors. I don't want to have to change out my alternator. Just 2 4ohm Dual Coil 200W RMS 8" Subs along side 4 MB Quart speakers totaling around 240W RMS. No more than 640W RMS. This is my first build so...

They are D4's. Also, I read in this thread that MB Quarts aren't that impressive. I've heard otherwise. Any particular reason they don't impress? The subs are here Rockford Fosgate Punch P2D48

I'm looking for a Class D amp. I haven't heard much about the Hifonics brand except to stay away from it. And the mb quart DSC4125 is a Class AB amp. Now for the mb quart DSC1500.1D amp, it has only one channel. How would I hook up two subs to it and still get the full 750W RMS pumping?

So what amp brand would you recommend for 2 12" 2ohm dual coil 500W RMS subs? Should I get 2 amps?

Yeah, I'm seriously considering the MB Quart DSC 480. For a 4-speaker MB Quart setup consisting of MB Quart DSH 216 components and MB Quart DKG 116 rear speakers. As well as putting in two Rockford Fosgate P3D212 subs. And, of course, a second and third amp to power them independently. But...

Where can I go about finding these brands (Arc Audio, Helix, McIntosh.....)? I'm looking at sonicelectronix.com right now and don't see those brands at all!!
