just use jb weld epoxy to fix the sub basket.. the stuff is used where a welder is not possible. works great....just some info if anybody was interested in listening one thing though it takes a full 8 hrs to set up once applied do not move it.

find out if the alternator gets its full potential at idle or does it take 3000rpms or so to achieve it. it may be 140amp but it might only recharge at a 60amp rate at idle

install a seperate cigarette hookup simple as hard wireing it just a power and a ground see if its your factory cigarette lighter causing the problem
