Would this help with the heat problem at all? I mean im only getting like 5 minutes of playtime before it cuts out, and I don't even have it loud. Gain is at 12'Oclock, Bass Boost is 0, LPF is on.

WOOT! I got it working. I re-grounded everything to different locations for the 2nd time, and this time it worked. Now I only have 1 more issue, anyone have any tips for keeping the amp a little cooler, because I cant have it bumpin to long because it gets to hot, I mean like to hot to touch...

Funny you mention that, I had the same idea, there is a car audio shop not far from my work and I took it by there at lunch and had them test the Amp and it works fine, so the problem lies in my wiring somewhere.

I've got a charger yes, the Amp was powered up at the 7.6V level, light on and all.

A good idea, which I tried to do and rule out the equip as the prob, but when I do this I get no power to the amp using the other car's battery. Also the batteries on both cars are only a few months old. So fustrating.

Ok, gotcha. do you think that will solve the voltage drop issue? And is the voltage drop the reason I get nothing out of the speakers?

Ok this is interesting, With the car idle, I get about 12.7V on the DMM, when I turn the key to get power to the radio, it drops to about 7.6V!?!?!?, the reading on the REM wire is very simular to the 7.6V as well. I then started the car, the readings remained unchanged from about the 7.6V mark...

Tried that as well, I either get nothing or the random low volume sound again. I'm going to eat then take some readings from the DMM and reply my findings.

All fuses unblown, all new equipment except the 6 mo old headunit.
