No man you're not wrong... the trails I usually ride are gradual uphills leading to a fun down hill. so, cross country

It's what they call an "all mountain" bike. It has 5" of travel in the front and 6" in the rear. Does really well on trails and handles itself on moderate downhill. And i'm not that tall, 6 3"
