    no sound at low volumes

    I have to JL w3'w hooked up to a JBL 1200.1. In order to get the bass to come back I have to turn the volume up high. Then I will have bass at low volume again. It goes away after a while and when I turn it up it comes back again. Anyone know what would cause this?

    I have two jl 12w3's and a jbl 1200.1 amp. Are there better sounding subs that I can use with this amp and is it worth it?
