The radio guy said the harness was common and there would be non-Boss ones that I could just plug in. He might be wrong, but it's a simple and specific enough question to ask that might solve the problem. If it fails, I would return it and start over, but I'm not sure how to compare the harness...

Agreed, it definitely *****. I just want to know what other specific ones I could buy that I could just sub in without any re-soldering.
