The wiring is in the rear doors, not the rear deck or I would. Would be easy if that were the case. The doors and getting wiring across the carpet is a pain.

Audiobahn make a 5 channel amp that's cheaper??? JL 500/5 is a good amp and you can find them for less than $600.

Only have the head unit in so far,nothing else. I'm waiting to get up the $$ for a JL 500/5 amp. I've already got a pair of Focal 165K2's for the doors and a pair of Alpine type E 10" subs w/ enclosure but neither are in yet; still stock. Probably get it all in first part of August.....

The Verbatim Datalife CDRW's are working great so far in it. I haven't heard it skip yet. It seems very solid. I'm going to try Memorex,if I can get NERO to quit making COASTERS with them!!! Test and burn....the test goes great...the burn errors out,twice now on me.....

Experiences so far with the unit.......MP3 is working sporadically. Sometimes it will work and have occasional dips or cutoffs during songs. And sometimes it doesn't recognize the disc and says 'No Music',and I'll have to keep trying to load it. Regular CD's work fantastic. I'm using PNR CD'Rs...

What do you mean by 'Premium plugs and a integrator'? What is a 'integrator'? And does it have a outboard amp or is it in the headunit? I would probably like to change the speaker in the sub,as it is probably blown. It gets raspy sounding at times,like the voice coils going. The other speakers...

I'm in the process of getting a system together for my car with a Alpine 7998 Fantomface unit. But the system in our Mountaineer is going (stock) and will need to be upgraded soon. I've been looking at the San Jose,and it looks like a real nice deck. Anyone have one or have any experience with one?
