    Is it ok to use an amp rated for 250W RMS with a sub that is 300W RMS?

    The amp is a monoblock, 1100W rated for 250W RMS but the 10' Kicker subwoofer is 500W at 300W RMS. So they're pretty close, I just want a second opinion. Thanks.

    Should I get professional installation for my subwoofer/amp?

    I don't have a lot of mechanical experience, although I installed my own head unit recently. I'm putting a 10'' Kicker sub w/ enclosure and an amp (probably under passengers seat) into my 2007 Toyota Corolla. The sub gets 250 RMS, which suits my needs. I really want to avoid the rattling I hear...
