They do offer different models that do punch way more power. I was just looking at this model to power the whole system simply with an added woofer. What baffles me, and again I may be confused as the descriptions/details are unclear but even the high powered models dont need a power or ground...

No doubt. But you gotta pay to play right. I guess it just depends on how much you spent on the amp. Next time just be a little more careful and disconnect the battery when working.

Not a clue man. Electricity does weird things. Your best bet is to run it down to the local audio store and have them check it out for you. If they dont have the means then call the company and see if they can repair it. But first dont tell them what happened just tell them it quit on you...
