I'll start off by saying thanks for all the help......Ok so the money I've spent isn't from trying to fix a problem. The setup I had was fine I just wanted to get deeper bass so I switched to the X in a boxed tuned to 32hz. In the process the Hifonics wasn't doing the job and I wasn't impressed...

So are you telling me there won't be much gain adding 1,000 or more watts to a sub???? And what is installed wrong?? Installing is not rocket science, maybe all the eq settings but definitely not the install..... I need answers???

*UPDATE* Well big 3 done (was 4ga, now 1/0), 150 amp alt installed, xs power D925 installed in trunk, head unit changed out from 2v pre to 4v jvc KD-X340BTS, and amp (Orion xtr extreme 2500.1dz will arrive tomorrow. Stay tuned........

Haven't gotten a clear answer yet, does the cranking amps really matter since this is going to be a agm secondary battery in the trunk? This is just for street application only, just looking for something to help the amp without spending a fortune.

Well the alt is on and there is some what of a difference. I'm at the store now purchasing the JVC KD-X340BTS that you guys where talking about. Amp and battery should be in next week. Dam I didn't think I was gonna have to get this deep. Went from a sub to a whole new dam system install!!!!

As far as the ground, as long as the lead battery is grounded to the chas and the agm is grounded to the chas I don't have to run another whole run of ground from lead to agm correct?

No, thats not what I'm asking.... I'm asking is it ok for my underhood battery which is a standard battery be ok to feed the agm which will be the secondary battery inside trunk.....

My underhood battery is standard..... Will it be ok if my secondary battery is agm?
