As long as the input and outputs on your subwoofer amp is good then you should have no problem jumping them off of your other amp

If you would rather not spend the money on 2 8s then I would suggest changing your box since that's the cheaper route and if you still don't like the way it sound then I would suggest going with the 8s but if your not to concerned with spending the money then I would go with the 8s and a new box...
