Looked like somebody honestly stepped right on it or used it to hold their weight up on one of their knees. it ripped around the edge, and punctured a couple holes from the grill i had over it popping out and ripping into it

silversquared i would go that route but i dont want to lose any cargo space. Also have a 70 lb dog that travels with me frequently and i feel would somehow end up landing on the sub in a corner or something. and boomintahoe what do you mean "around the spare tire?"

right i understand that i build on top of what is already there, but what if i need to take the floor out to do something in the back of the car. i think it would be difficult as the floor is wider than the hatch in certain spots but maybe im just tired lol

that is a good idea, but the hatch on the wrx is very small and i dont think id be able to get a full size false floor in/out if needed all the time. the floor panels in the back come in 3 pieces. Maybe i could someow do it with 2 pieces?

so you guys can see what i have going on. here are some pics. my only concern is that with the sundown ill have to remove the tire and maybe only take it along with me on long trips or something. maybe not. i wonderthat with so much flex from the sub i wont have enough room.

he asked me what i felt the sub was worth and my time to replace it and i told him 100 bucks.

not trying to go crazy lol. just want some nice decent bass in my car. the sub is rated at 600w rms so i think ill stick with that. no need to double it

and i would not be opposed to buying a new 600w rms amp to power the sub

yea, i like how it is that way i dont lose any space in the back. plus i have dog. only probelm now is that the sub in the box i have sits about 1" to high and the cover does not sit flat

i have a 2005 wrx. it is in the spare wheel well inside the spare.

well i found a used sa 12 for 100 bucks. the mounting depth is 6 1/2 inches and the mounting depth i have to work with is just a little more than that. the box is 8 inches deep but id like to cut off about an inch

what about a sundown audio sa12? how does this compare to the sd 12 d4?

does the type of music i regularly listen to have anything to do with the sub i choose?

i have a Rockford Fosgate Punch P325.1 Amplifier powering the sub currently

I took my car to get detailed the other day and it got punctured by one of the detailers there. they told me they would replace it but my sub is quite old and id like it replaced with todays equivalent. its an orion p1202 and i cannot find any information on this sub. Any ideas?
