Yes typically, if it is a quality amp that can deliver it's wattage clean.

I knew a guy with a JBL 1000 watt 12" and it was properly loud and punchy. Old design now... Never owned JBL, but I would definitely have a go with a few of these for fun.

I would check all your wires, test RCA's, test speaker connections to your head unit or amp, whichever you use, also check they are in phase.

It's best to show the finished product rather than the work in-between to show off a standard a person could reach. With that said, if they ask for a how to and want something like yours, that photo you did show would be fine to show a process up until the refined version.
