Is it a relatively large difference? Is there a company that makes wire harnesses to replace stock amps instead of running all new wire?

The factory 6x8 subs in my Lincoln LS have gone out. They're rated at 2 ohms, and I was wondering if I could replace them with 4 ohm subs.
