    Is this box design right?

his box is about 5.33cf total. and a port area of 58sq inches the port being 18+ inches would tune it around 33hz, but also as you stated you have to subtract from sub and port displacement. what is the sub displacement? that would get you a more accurate answer if assuming each sub is .25cf...

    Is this box design right?

its tuned to about 40hz. with the port being 10 inches long which is pretty good if you are going for a spl set up, you will lose a bit on the low end but will get loud. but for a daily driver that you want loud i would make the port 12.1 long that would tune it to 38 for 37hz make it 13.25...

Bazooka Tube 8" or Solobaric SL8 for bass

why not look at a DD 8inch? my dad has one in his 1966 impala ss and its sounds real clean and good bass, its in a sealed box, i would imagine it would get quite a bit louder with it ported. or how about a JL audio 8w6? (im pretty sure they make them in 8's, could be wrong)

    box not sounding right

have you changed the settings on the epicenter? if not you still have it tuned to the old subs and box, and need to adjust to the new subs and box

if you are all about the sound then did you know that the wire coming out of the port like that can cause port turbulance, which can lead to port noise which affects sound?

you misunderstood it then. i know they dont determine bond strength but anyone will tell you that wood glue alone wont hold up under the pressure, and you then get a blow out, better safe then sorry but as he said the box is only a little over 2cf so he will be fine, if the box was bigger it...

    Box picture

title should be, anyone got some screws i can have for my box? there are only 2 screws in that big length of board, even with wood glue and sealing the corners that would be pretty weak by most standards. I'd be affraid to blow out a side wall if its built like that all around. heck that gives...

    fun tonite... (L7 box)

and you heard it when the port was tuned to 31hz and only had a port area of 45sq and now it has an areea of 80sq and tuned to 40hz, so its even louder now, i get my other amp back today and will be throwing abot 1700-1800rms to EACH sub, and thats pure power coming from a pair of pheonix gold...
