I recently got new RCA's and ran them down the opposite side of my car. The bass hits still happen randomly I played with the subsonic filter and when the subsonic filter is set to 50Hz then I do not get any of the random bass hits. When i set it to around 20Hz the random bass hits occur...

Ok, Yeah it looks like they ran the RCA right down the side of my jeep with the power wire... I will move that and check all the connections. Thanks for the help!

If it were the amp (I hope not it is a brand new amp) could it be one of the filters or crossover setting causing this? Maybe too high of an input level? And what is wrong with the RCA being with the power cable, what problems would it cause? Sorry to be a nuisance.

And what would running my RCA with my power do? Of course the smart guys that installed my old system at circuit city ran the RCA with the power cable...

The ground wire I am using worked fine for my previous system. I just put together these new subs wired in parallel this past weekend. Could there be a loose connection causing this? Would a loosely connected ground cause this? All because of some fvcking thieves, I have to hassle with...

Well I need to check because circuit city ran my last cables and I just got a new amp and subs because my old ones were stolen. I believe the RCA cables run near the power cable but I am not sure for how long. Is a Db Drive platinum 1200.1D a shit amp? I just got a good deal on it so...

Is my amp input level too high if I hear a low rumble from my subs when no music is playing? Is there Any way to get rid of this other than losing some power and turning the input down?

I just recently put together my Db drive 1200.1D and my 2 12" Db drive PLW's. Everything sounds pretty awesome except when I begin to listen to music (about 5 minutes into a drive) I get a random loud, long (about 6-7 seconds) bass hit out of nowhere. Another one usually hits soon after...
