so you're lookin at the ca1200? i got mine on ebay for 160, and i'm pushin 2 12s with it, sending 450w to each sub. the only time i've ever had problems with this amp is because of something i did. it sounds good and it puts out what it says. i'd highly recommend this amp, especially for that...

wheres goddy on this one? oh well. my guess is it's just the unit itself, it's shot. my computer had a problem like that once, it kept shutting off and the problem was with the power. something in it was loose, and whenever it heated up, the power would go off because something was coming loose...

ebay has pioneer premier 12s for 48 each, and they sound **** good for the money. but you need a good amp to push em, cause without that much power they don't sound as good. but if oyu have the money for a good amp, i'd definitely go with those.

dual 12" for 2 pioneers. dunno how many cubic feet, but i need a good box for rockish stuff, maybe ported at 35hz? how much?

i got a profile ca1200 on ebay for 160.... 300w X 2 at 4 ohms 450w X 2 at 2 ohms 900w bridged i'm very satisfied with profile so far....and to think i almost paid too much for a fosgate amp....

i used to have a 15" in my trunk, and it was loud and clear for rap but i got rid of it because i listen to a lot of rock and maybe it was just the sub, but it was sloppy for rock. i think if you know what you're doing though, 15s could sound as good as 12s....

i'm gonna disagree. look on ebay for pioneer IMPPs, they are silver. you'll probably spend $37 each if you get 12s, or somewhere around there, and they sound good. i used to have a 15" pioneer IMPP and it rocked my ass for how much i paid for it. i would get either pioneer or MTX, nothing else...

alright, so i tried hooking up each sub seperatly free air, with 1 channel to each voice coil and neither of them worked. theres power going to the amp, it's not the battery fuse, and all the connections are tight. i regrounded it to a bolt on the side of my trunk. i took my box out and checked...

i have it grounded to a long piece of metal holding my spare tire in place underneat the wooden flap that my amp is mounted on. could this be shitty grounding maybe? but if it was shitty grounding, wouldn't the amp just not work at all? me so baffled the fuse by the battery didn't blow, but...

correct. and yes, the gain is at about 35-40 right now. but i don't get it!

alright, i cut a hole in the chamber wall, and i wired the 2 together to make a 4 ohm load but the light is sitll on! this is making me mad. is there something i keep doing wrong? the manual says it could be a speaker short, or a speaker ground out, but i don't know how to figure out if either...

screw it, i'm just gonna cut a hole in the chamber wall and bridge these 2 to a 4 ohm load on my amp.

i'll check for that. but would that cause my amp to go into protection mode as well as make it sound like poo?
