you may want to upgrade to a little better sub, maybe look at the pioneer lowend subs. For a budget system it'll be alright, just not sure how good those powerbass subs are.

I'm not really surprised, companies are always coming out with some super exspensive piece of equipment, audio related or not, and there will always be people with more money then brains that will buy it. in this particular case, would the sound difference(if any) be noticable enough to warrant...

you could always make a 6x9 replacement adapter and put a diy component set in there for rear fill.

exactly, its hard to beat that sub at that price.
