I am running a sundown 1200d and an orion extreme 500.4. I am looking at getting a 150amp output alternator(my curent is 90amp) and a couple batteries. I was looking at an optoma red top for under the hood and a kinetik hc600 for my trunk. Does this sound like solid choices or is it just overkill?

I am getting 2 IDQ 12s also, and have a sundown 1200d

There is a shop about 2 hours away that has Diamond D6s and IDQs I can listen to. I talked to a guy from there on friday, I guess I am just gonna head over there in the next day or so and give em both a listen.

The RE SE seems to be a highly recommended sub. After using the search function and checking out there site I may be sold. The price is great to, leaves me extra cash for other stuff. Would I run 2 4ohm to get the 1ohm I need on the sundown 1200d?

I thought Sundown subs were for SPL.

I assumed that is why he said that. As for SQ or SPL I think I lean more towards SQ. I was planning on building a ported box. Most of the music I listen to atm is hip-hop and trance with the occasional punk and heavy thrown in. I want subs that can pound hard, but also sound good when listening...
