He wouldn't be getting 1000 watts to the sub and that isn't too much power for a 300rms/600max tuned correctly. Hell I ran an SFB3k to two 10" 500rms subs no issues.

I'm sure no one is stating they have all the alternators in the world, all the battery's in the world and -10000 gauge wire in their car. So I'd assume he has upgraded those three items.

600RMS sub though, that would be underpowering it. I'd go with a 1000 watt amp easy.

Electrical typically revolves around three main items. Upgraded alternator, Big 3(wiring upgrade) and enough battery for the required application.

In my last Mustang I ran a JL1000 and 12" 500rms Sundown in my Mustang. Sounded pretty good IMO. You can get cheaper amps of course. Sundown makes some cheap ones around 1000 watts. Check out Fox Acoustic if you want a budget prefab enclosure. Custom is always best of course built to the specs...

OP...wasn't clean on the amp Absolutely run an amp to whatever speakers you buy. There is such a fine line on running better speakers than stock speakers without additional power when it comes to getting better sound or sounding worse. You can find used amps even for a couple hundred bucks.

Not sure where you are shopping at but I need the info. JL Audio C3's are $600 on the average and Hertz CK's are about $380 average.

I'm gonna suggest you save and get the JL Audio C3s. I've had both and the difference between the C2's and C3's is pretty astronomical. If you wanna go less budget I had the Hertz CK's and they sounded amazing for around $350 which I'd go with over the Alpine.

On my underseat enclosure I went with Unicorn Spit Red Pepper then took the edges down and light sand for a distressed rat roddish feel. Other enclosure is blue from Next Level Fabrications.
