    Android Tablet in Car?

That's probably what I'll end up doing. There's some pretty good mounting brackets that I've seen. How's the audio quality? I've heard that the DAC in tablets aren't that great.

Link? It isn't one of those cheap Chinese made head units is it?

    Android Tablet in Car?

Your avatar is exactly what I had in mind. The problem in my car is that in order to have the kind of setup that you have I would need to relocate the climate controls in my car somewhere else. I'm limited in space, I don't mind fabricating my car. The only problem is that if I ever wanted to...

    Android Tablet in Car?

The Parrot just looks like a watered version of Android to me. I noticed that it doesn't play DVDs. It's just a media player. Sure you can put movies on an sd card or download them, but not everybody does that. There's not even an Android market. Just seems overpriced for what you get.

    Android Tablet in Car?

android's(samsung, kindle, google tab etc's) built in sound processor is pretty ****** so depending on your perception of sound quality, you might be okay with it or if your picky with the sound, you'll not be satisfied compared to a sound quality oriented head unit. Only way to combat that is...

    Android Tablet in Car?

I agree, I'd still like to do it. It's just a matter of figuring everything out and choosing the right kind of install. I'm surprised there hasn't been a double din head unit with Android made yet, and I'm not talking about those cheap Chinese devices.

    Android Tablet in Car?

I have a 2006 Chevy Malibu LT. Everything in it is factory, I've wanted to replace the stereo for years but never got around to it. I was actually in the process of buying a double din in dash dvd head unit until I saw a video on YouTube where someone replaced their stereo with an Android...

    Relocating Factory Stereo?

Does anybody know if you can purchase just the DIC display and wiring harness from the Metra 95-3303b? I don't really need everything else it comes with.

    Relocating Factory Stereo?

OInteresting, Newegg says that the Metra 95-3303B is only for OnStar retention. Now my car doesn't have OnStar. Will I still be able to use this dash kit?

    Relocating Factory Stereo?

Thanks again. Your right, it probably would be easier. I'm looking at spending over $400 with the stereo I have in mind, that's not including other things I might need. I was kind of hoping to stay under $300. So I'm thinking of buying the Metra 95-3303B Double DIN Dash Kit, where would a good...

    Relocating Factory Stereo?

Thanks, Crutchfield was telling me that a double DIN adapter DIC doesntr exist! But wow, $229? Would I be saving anything if I relocated the stereo?

    Relocating Factory Stereo?

Thanks, I'm not overly concerned about the factory being visible. As long as I can access it comfortably. Here is my factory stereo,
