I totally agree. I've always gone with black to match my dash. Haven't seen many silver dashes. Although I do think the brushed aluminum of the 880 and gunmetal can look pretty nice on some units.
Check out the new Pioneer 780,7800, 980, or 9800. They're $100 off at Crutchfields. The 7800 is going for $319 and the 9800 is going for $449. Great deals considering what I paid when they first came out. But I'm loving the 16 band Eq and awesome display.
Actually there is a pause button on the faceplate and remote. On the faceplate, you press the upper left button around the rotary commander, tel. On the remote, you press 'pgm'.
Thanks, great site. Some guy will actually make you your own movie screensaver using pics of your car. Pretty cool stuff. Looks like there was lots of traffic last year but slower this year.
Didn't realize how much I would like watching my custom display......but it's awesome. Wish it would fit more than 1 8sec video though. Could you guys fit more than 1 video or more than 7 pics on it? Wondering if downgrading the resolution of the pics would help fit more. Also I'm finding...
Yeah, that remote is totally sweet. I love the round dial on it for listing tracks, going up and down folders, fast forwarding, reversing, etc. I don't touch my HU anymore, I just use the remote all the time.
I didn't know you had to mount the wire to the driver's headrest. What a pain. I'm not questioning the price....I'm just wondering if I should drive all the way to Windsor to get one myself. If I don't use the auto-eq myself, then it probably isn't worth it to spend $50+ worth of gas just to...
I checked and That's an unbeatable price you got for the 980. I can't find any store in the GTA that comes close to that price and it even beats out US internet prices. There seems to be only three differences with the 9800. Auto-EQ, Auto time alignment (both of which require use of the included...
Yeah, you'll love this HU. My friend and I have tried pairing the unit up with an O2 PDA/cellphone with A2DP capabilities and it was able to play crisp stereo sound. The HU was able to control the cellphone mp3 player and vica versa. Now I'm looking to buy a bluetooth Ipod.
Where did it say...
According to the Pioneer website, they are selling the 980 Premier at many of the Canadian Tire locations across the GTA, which I find funny. Didn't know CT would carry higher end Pioneer HU's. I think they price match though.
That's a great deal on the 980. BB sells the 9800 for 649.99Can so they'll probably sell the 980 for 699.99Can.
What reason did you give BB for returning it? Did they give you any hassle?
Haha....you'd think that would work but it doesn't. One of my acquaintances had a Jensen 5010 MP3 deck and thought he could leave the faceplate on....i mean who would steal a Jensen. Well, his car got broken into and they stole his Jensen stereo and that was in a good part of town too.
I checked out that JVC and I don't like how it doesn't sit flush to your dash, the display isn't customizable, and I'm not sure it can play all types of DVDs....like DivX.
It was a decision between the JVC DVD or Pioneer bluetooth 9800. I figured I'd probably be calling ppl more than watching...
