They are 2 ohm when both voice coils are wired up; do you think it would be better if I just got one 15 instead of trying to run 2 12s? And are the square subs like the Solobarics better?

Can someone guide me in wiring my two Alpine Type R 12s to a Kicker ZX1500.1 monoblock? I initially had these DVC speakers hooked up parallel but the amp is not 1 ohm stable, so after Kicker repaired it I hooked them up in series but it didn't hit hard enough at 4 ohms so for right now I'm just...
