    Cold Temps?

I had noticed a new rattling sound that seemed to come from my rear deck. It might be rattling around a bit, but I was wonderin about if cold temps would affect the subs? When i popped the trunk, it seemed like the cones were rattling a little bit more than usual. Could cold temps do that?

    Rattling ..?

I noticed there was a rattling sound coming from the rear deck today. Either I didn't notice it before, or, more likely, it's new. I was wondering if possibly ... would extremely cold temperatures cause the cones to rattle a little more than normal? I noticed that a little bit too. Thanks.

    Lights still dim

What gauge would you recommend .. 0? 4? Someone had a website for where to buy wire, but it's somewhere in posts I'm sure i can find it.

Big 3? Sorry ... I know a few things but I'm still new to this stuff. What does that entail?

    Lights still dim

They do a little bit, when i turn them up however it's enough that I think it could be one of those little things people get upset over .. distractions .. bla bla. What amp alternator would I need to eliminate any/all (or most of) the dimming?

    Alternative to BX1500D?

Well, I have one bx1500d left .. and in the unfortunate event that this one should blow up like my last one ... I'm probably not going to buy another Hifonics product. I have read other threads .. don't mean to waste one because I know this is a heftily posted topic ... I have 2 RE SE 12'' ...

If it brightens your day any ... my 1500d just blew up on me. So at least yours protects itself.

    Why Did My Amp Explode?

Nope, the amp didn't, in any way, get wet. As for checking the ground .. i myself don't have a meter but i think tomorrow my friend and i are gonna ride to the local stereoshop and ask them some stuff, like whether or not to hook up the other amp ... i'll see if they have a meter there to check...

    Why Did My Amp Explode?

The only thing I could think of was that we wanted to test it out so we just ran it to one sub ... but still that would cause an impedance issue, which would blow a fuse ... i'm just baffled as to what it is, and like i said i'm wary about hooking up the spare. what's the chance they'll both go?

    Why Did My Amp Explode?

yup, we checked the wires for 30 minutes. no sign of any fuses or anything, just that one part inside that was fickled up. :-/ ... I have another bx1500d in my closet, but now im wary to hook it up out of fear that itll go up too ... ah.

    Why Did My Amp Explode?

They are dual 4 ohm wired to 1 ohm. we have 4 gauge power and ground. and in the manual it says that if the impedence is wired below capability ... the fuses would blow. double-u tee eff?

    Why Did My Amp Explode?

Hum ... i finished wiring my stuff today and hooked up the amp to my sub. instead of the joy of hearing heart pounding bass ... the amp began to smoke. there are 3 fuses between the battery and the amp ... yet none of them blew. it's a hifonics BX1500D amplifier .. we looked inside and only...

    Wiring behind h/u

Alright .. My A/C duct runs close behind my h/u .. and when i put in the bigger jacks for the amp install coming up .. they might not fit. i had looked into getting adapters that are 90 degree type of things .. is that the only way to get around it? anyone else have that issue before? Thanks.
